Situation: GO Jugendreisen, a well-known brand for supervised youth travel, does a lot in-house: digital marketing, campaigns, content. Press relations were different. The function was being built up, but there was no one to develop topics, know the newsrooms and keep in touch with them. What was needed was not a permanent apparatus but a push that would quickly lead to visible results.

Case Study: GO Jugendreisen – five placements in eight weeks
Owning a topic: The kick-off clarified what the media work should contribute to: awareness among parents and young people, credibility in the travel industry, and appeal as an employer for group leaders and staff. The search for a topic led away from the catalogue and towards the company itself. The result: one core topic, the transformation and digitalisation of the company under a young managing director.
Finding the angles: The core topic was turned into positions that reach beyond the company. How do you lead a traditional business through a generational change? What does digitalisation change in an industry that lives on personal trust? How is the travel behaviour of the young people booking today changing? A press release says what a company offers. A topic says something about the world the company works in. Only the second gets printed.
Choosing the media: The media list was prioritised by target group and deliberately broad: travel trade media, regional media at the company's location, radio and podcasts. That way the coverage reaches parents, applicants and industry partners through different channels and is spread across independent editorial sources that AI systems also draw on.
Pitching and supporting the newsrooms: Each topic was tailored and pitched individually: the industry perspective for the trade press, the local business and the people behind it for regional media, a conversation with the managing director for radio and podcasts. On top of that came preparing the spokesperson for the interviews and coordinating with the newsrooms.
Result: Five placements in the first eight weeks alone, across regional media, trade media, radio and podcasts. The pieces are findable, quotable and reusable in marketing. Along the way, the in-house team saw how the process works and can build on it.
Lawsuit, NGO campaign, months of media pressure
Situation: An international food group came under pressure over one of its product divisions. Investigations by two foreign media outlets raised the question of whether the treatment methods used were compatible with how the products were labelled. The allegation therefore went to the basis of the business. An NGO filed a criminal complaint, a parliamentary inquiry opened, and coverage continued for months. In Germany, newsrooms wanted to know what the case meant for the products sold here.
My role: Handling media relations for the German market over the course of a year.
Strategy: An NGO campaign running alongside legal proceedings follows a dramaturgy. We worked through the possible next steps, from further complaints to test purchases to new publications, and prepared responses before they had to be written under time pressure.
Media relations: The case played out abroad and did not concern the same products sold in Germany. That distinction was repeatedly lost in the coverage. I contacted the newsrooms concerned, supplied the missing facts and placed the company's position. Including at Germany's highest-circulation newspaper.
Result: German coverage became more precise over the course of the year and set out the facts correctly. The company's position was represented in the key titles.
What clients say about BAMBERG Reputation
Florian achieved media placements for TikTok Shop within a few months that others take far longer to land: in WirtschaftsWoche and Business Insider, in the trade press with Horizont and Werben & Verkaufen, in regional titles like the Ludwigsburger Kreiszeitung and the Pforzheimer Zeitung, and across several podcasts. What sets him apart are his solid contacts inside the newsrooms and his instinct for which story fits which outlet. He understands how journalists think and develops topics that hold up editorially. Working with him is efficient and clearly geared toward results: short paths, no idle motion, reliable execution. For any company that is serious about getting visible, a clear recommendation.
nexeye/eyes + more has been working with Florian since spring 2026. In a very short time, he helped us successfully position our growth story in the German market, with strong media placements, interviews, and professional support for our spokespeople. Florian combines strategic thinking, excellent media contacts, and a clear focus on results. He understands his clients' objectives and delivers on them with a high level of professionalism. A clear recommendation; I look forward to continuing the collaboration.
Florian combines an extensive knowledge of capital markets with an impressive gut feeling for the in and outs of press relations and communications. He is advising DealCircle in setting up and executing a strategy for marketing and press relations. Florian has produced many valuable ideas to get positive media coverage for DealCircle.
His extensive network among journalists, deep knowledge of the business media landscape and feeling for the right spin have resulted in a sound press coverage for DealCircle. Florian is also an expert at other marketing channels, such as events and advertisements. I recommend him to everybody who is looking for help in drawing up and executing a communications strategy.
Before working with Florian, we were already well connected in the market and generated new business through direct contacts and our own marketing. What we were still missing, however, was a stronger presence in the high-quality media outlets that truly matter to our target audience.
Florian quickly understood how we wanted to position ourselves vis-à-vis potential buyers and translated that into pragmatic, actionable story angles. Within just a few weeks, he secured interviews and guest articles for us in media outlets such as Pioneer, FINANCE, and Unternehmeredition.
This has significantly strengthened our visibility and credibility with our target audience. What was particularly valuable to us was that Florian not only thinks strategically, but also executes efficiently and with very little need for coordination.
At GO Jugendreisen, we handle many things in-house, but when it came to PR, we simply lacked the capacity. We were in the process of building the function, but needed a strong initial push. And then Florian came along. Not by coincidence — I actually found him on LinkedIn. :)
Straightforward, flexible, and demonstrably competent. In a very short time, he pitched and secured relevant placements for us: podcasts, local newspapers, trade media, radio — the full spectrum.
It shows that good PR is not a matter of luck, but the result of expertise and a strong network. Thank you, Florian, for the great collaboration and the turbo start to our media relations.
Florian raised the level of our media work to a professional standard in next to no time. The first placement appeared in Unternehmeredition shortly after the project started – further placements are already in preparation. What sets him apart: he is exceptionally well connected with the relevant media outlets and knows exactly how to tell a story so that it holds up editorially and earns attention. Instead of busywork, he delivers focused, efficient work with clear results. For any company that wants to become visible without burning time and budget on generic PR, Florian is the right choice.
